Dr. Adams was born in Houston, Texas and grew up throughout south central and southeast Texas. She also lived in both Oklahoma and Arkansas before moving with her parents to Baton Rouge after graduating high school a year early in 1994.
Dr. Adams received her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Louisiana State University and continued on at LSU SVM to receive her Doctorate Degree in Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from veterinary school with Dr. Erica Breeden in the class of 2002, Dr. Adams moved to Mobile, AL where she practiced at a 24 hour emergency hospital, neighborhood animal clinic and a spay/neuter facility for two years. She married Ted Adams of Baton Rouge, LA in September 2002. In April 2004, she moved closer to home and became an associate veterinarian in Hammond, LA at Animal Care Center (ACC) while living in Walker, LA. Dr. Breeden joined the ACC staff only one month later, and the doctors practiced together for three and a half years until Dr. Adams began working in Baton Rouge at Animal Health Clinic in October 2007.
When the opportunity arose for Dr. Adams and Dr. Breeden to work together again, they were very excited and bought Dr. Downing’s Practice, renaming it White Oak Animal Hospital. Dr. Adams enjoys dermatology, internal and preventative medicine. She and her husband Ted have two children, Patrick and Allison. The Adams’ have 4 dogs and 4 cats at home.
